Over 65?
Not getting out as much as you'd like?
In need of some company?

Then Alive and Kickin' is for you!

Alive and Kickin' is a 3 year project which works with older people who would like more social contact, to deliver an exciting new range of activities, including:

'Our Kind of Music' - a dance club for the over 65's, playing the music of the 50's, 60's and 70's.

'Little Weeds' - bringing older people with green fingers together with local primary schoolchildren to share their skills, fun and a love of gardening

Future activities planned include:

'The Ton Up Club' - former motoring and biking enthusiasts meet and swap knowledge with newly qualified drivers and bikers

'Cooking with Care' - are you a great cook but lack someone to enjoy cooking for and with?  Share tips and eat with young carers who need to gain essential cooking skills - great food and great company!

'In The Know' - learn vital safety skills and training from Derbyshire Constabulary, and then help us to help other older people by delivering the information to them.

'Quiz nights' - join others and test your knowledge and have fun - and you can choose which local charitable causes the proceeds go to!

We are at the beginning of this exiting new project and we want to invite older people to join us and help us develop further activities.

Alive and Kickin' is about older people in the community saying what THEY want to do - join in and have your say!
