clean for older people in their own homes.

Project Officer

Suicide Awareness Training Project

NJC point 26 - £23,166 pro rata

15 hours per week.

 

This is an opportunity to work with a well established voluntary and community sector project which helps raise awareness of suicide and its impact.   Suicide Awareness Training is open to staff, volunteers and lay people from all sectors in Derbyshire and is free to most.  The training is delivered by clinicians, the project officer is responsible for organising the seminars,  dealing with enquiries from potential participants, recruiting and supporting the trainers, some delivery of training, marketing the project and negotiating bespoke seminars with larger employers.

Based in Matlock but with some travel.

 

This is an opportunity to work with a well established voluntary and community sector project which makes a real difference to people’s lives.  Wheels to Work helps people overcome transport barriers in order to access work or training.   The project officer will deal with enquiries from potential scheme users, the day to day administration and finance.

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced individual to manage the day-to-day running, staff and marketing of our Legal Aid Agency and Advice Services, taking a lead in providing Specialist Advice to clients in need of our support and line managed by the CEO.

This is a Senior Management role within the organisation and the primary parts of the role will be to work closely and directly with DHA’s CEO and Head of Finance, to ensure there is a strong marketing strategy and continued pipeline of new financial opportunities being applied for with regular grant/contract/tender and funding opportunities submitted. This role requires knowledge and experience to continually research, identify and complete appropriate funding applications using a range of resources to support not only the growth of the organisation but also the wider regions of Derbyshire and the East Midlands.

Knowledge of managing legal aid or other government contracts, including bidding for contracts and managing compliance and audit activity, is required. Knowledge of managing multiple funding streams and having the business acumen to maximise revenue opportunities is desirable. You should have a successful track record of proven business success in other environments.

Excellent communication and negotiation skills are essential, as is the ability to deal with people and staff in difficult and pressurised situations. We are looking for a high achiever who has drive and ambition to progress in a forward thinking organisation to raise the profile of DHA services and take part in promotional and marketing activities, development of appropriate promotional materials, conduct presentations in line with our corporate branding and to identify and maximize available funding streams.

You should have a background in working with people in crisis, including debt, housing and the challenges faced by unemployment, ill health, poor housing and wider social issues. A full induction programme will be provided.
