Gill implements work programmes, policies & decisions of the Management Committee. She is responsible for the day-to-day running of VCS Peaks and Dales and its' projects.

Debbie is responsible for development of new ideas and projects.  She sources and applies for grants and seeks out other sources of funding.  Debbie also line manages the Volunteer Coordinators and the Alive and Kickin' Coordinators.

Emma manages our Buxton Reception and reception volunteers, looks after our social media, greets visitors, takes payments and co-ordinates admin duties.  She also covers the efficient running of the office building.

Lynn is responsible for the recruitment 
of volunteers and for guiding people into opportunities with VCSPD and other organisations in the High Peak area, and promoting the service locally. Lynn also provides information and support to other volunteering organisations.

Helen manages all our accounts, ensuring all financial monitoring reports are complete for funding, setting up and monitoring financial processes, and producing financial reports, as well as managing our day-to-day finances.

Support Services. She is responsible

training of our care staff, producing care plans, carrying out risk assessments and conducting reviews. Overall she ensures that people in the community in need of care and assistance get the best service possible.

Rachael co-ordinates the 
befriending service for the centre, 
matching volunteers to elderly, isolated people in Buxton and Chapel-en-le-Frith who don't have families 
living locally. 
Rachael is also part of the Home  Support team. She ensures that people in the community in need of care and assistance get the best service possible.

Emma develops group activities for older people in the Buxton and High Peak area that help reduce social isolation, and assists Rachael in 
matching volunteers to elderly, isolated people in Buxton and Chapel en le Frith who don't have families living locally.  

Home from Hospital Co-ordinator (Buxton & North Dales)

Becky is based at our Buxton office and at the Whitworth Hospital in Matlock. She works with the hospital discharge teams and Adult Social Care teams to help people come from hospital and to help reduce readmissions.

Emma co-ordinates a regular lunch group aimed at bringing old isolated people together. The group visits different venues around the Buxton and surrounding areas for lunch and a good chat!

Colin is joint project co-ordinator for Alive and Kickin', a 3 year Comic Relief funded project looking at working with people over 65, to develop a range of new activities for which they will eventually take control

Head of Transport Services


Howard Gunn


Howard manages the Volunteer Transport Scheme as well as supporting the volunteer drivers and administration assistants. He promotes the scheme and is responsible for driver training and all vehicle maintenance.

Ruth's role is the main link between the people we transport and the volunteer drivers. They book the drivers to take people to their appointment and also supports the drivers with any problems they may have.

Home Maintenance and Handy Van Manager

David is responsible for the day to day running of the Home Maintenance Service. He organises the operative and arrangesfor quotes to be carried out. He will also carry out various job tasks as well such as grab rails and painting and decorating.

Liz provides admin support for Home Maintenance and Handy Van services.  She liaises with customers, sends out invoices, and manages the associated databases. She also manages our cleaning service.

Jordan assists the Home Maintenance team with putting up grab rails, painting and decorating and other DIY jobs
